IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NGO TIDÈNE IN THE TÉNÉRÉ DESERT
Building a well in the Ténéré desert
For 20 years · With NGO Tidène

Not for them.
With them.

In the Agadez region, our Nigerien partners build wells, schools and cooperatives. We finance, support and follow up. They propose. They build. They maintain. Together, we decide.

End of 2023

Here's what they've done with your support.

Twenty years of structured commitment. No promises — just completed projects, open schools and working cooperatives.

Our partner

Nigerien NGO Tidène.
20 years side by side.

"Tidène is made up of natives of the region with deep field knowledge. They run implementation and follow-up."

No subcontracting. No expats. NGO Tidène is the interface between Les Puits du Désert and local communities — administrations, water committees, cooperatives. Chaired by Mohamed Ixa, led on the ground by Ibrahim Rissa Ikssa (director).

Our story with NGO Tidène
Monthly donation by direct debit

A well costs between €10,000 and €40,000.
And six months of work.

€10,000 for a market-garden well · €25,000 for a village or pastoral well · €40,000 for a complete system (solar borehole + water tower + mini-distribution).

Your monthly commitment, debited automatically, lets us plan long-term — school maintenance, cooperative training, infrastructure follow-up. It's what makes the difference between a one-off gift and a 20-year presence.

Niger

One of the poorest countries in the world.

80% desert, life expectancy is 54 years. 2 Nigeriens out of 5 lack access to safe drinking water. 80% of child deaths are linked to unsafe water. And 1 child in 5 doesn't reach the age of 5.

Our operating area: the Agadez region, an area as large as France (667,799 km²) with 714,509 inhabitants. We intervene from the Tidène valley (our 2004 starting point) to the Aïr massif and around the city of Agadez.
