Our governance
A French nonprofit under the 1901 law, founded in 2004. The board and executive committee are elected at the annual general meeting.
No salaried staff in France. The director (Armelle de Roton) and the French team work as volunteers or with minimal reimbursement. This is how we maintain a very lean structure.
Project decisions: every project in Niger is jointly validated by Armelle de Roton (LPDD) and Mohamed Ixa (NGO Tidène). The field decides, France funds.
Financial oversight: annual accounts audited by a statutory auditor. Books open to any reasoned request (sponsor, press, major donor).
